Africa is a continent rich in natural resources but, for a variety of reasons, She is not yet developed leaving most youth feeling optimistic about their futures. The significant development that is happening often lacks any focus on children.

Chris Monteiro was a founding member of a recording band for seven years. He had the privilege of traveling around the US and made many great artistic connections. Kidsafrik has collaborated with some great local and overseas talent to develop the fundamental balance of Life with Art – the key to freedom of self-expression.

KidsAfrik Sports

KidsAfrik trains American and African youth to excel within the Beautiful Game.

Men’s Travel Soccer (since 2006), whose recent achievements are 2009 Fall MPSL Champions; 2009 Spring PVJSL Champions; 2008 Fall MPSL Champions; 2006 Spring PVSSL Champions.

KidsAfrik will field two youth teams (U15/16 and U17/18 Boys) in the Pioneer Valley Junior Soccer League.

KidsAfrik founder Chris Monteiro will be in Senegal in March to start the KidsAfrik program. The first stage is to establish aKidsAfrik soccer club in the village of Somone, where we will be hosting a weekend-long First Annual Youth Soccer Tournament. Chris will be taking gifts of soccer uniforms and t-shirts generously donated by the Amherst Youth Soccer Association and local supporters. He will also be meeting with local government authorities and faculty at the University Cheihk Anta Diop, Dakar, to plan for the KidsAfrik Sports, Arts, and Technology programs scheduled to begin in 2011.

Most Africans living abroad have strong emotional and mental ties to their homeland. Africans living in the U.S. often dream of returning home to give something to the people who are not as fortunate as they are.
